Privacy Policy

Depending on the services you use, GeoFoundry may process your name, email address, account information, subscription and licence information, registered-device information, payment transaction references, support requests, and technical information necessary to operate and secure our services.

Field Mapper may also process information created during fieldwork, including geographic coordinates, GNSS information, project information, attributes, geometries, photographs, videos and other information intentionally collected by the user.

Field Mapper uses location information to provide mapping, positioning and field data collection functionality. Positioning may come from the phone or tablet's built-in GNSS receiver, supported Trimble GNSS receivers through Trimble Mobile Manager, or other compatible external GNSS receivers.

Location permissions are used to provide these positioning and field-collection functions. GeoFoundry does not use GNSS information for advertising or unrelated tracking.

Field Mapper may request Bluetooth permissions to discover, identify, connect to and communicate with compatible external GNSS receivers. Bluetooth access is used for GNSS receiver functionality and is not intended to track nearby people or devices for advertising purposes.

Field Mapper may create and store project information including geometries, coordinates, attributes, photographs, videos, templates and other field records. Where field information is stored locally on the user's device, the user is responsible for managing, backing up, exporting and protecting that information.

GeoFoundry does not claim ownership of geographic, project or field data created by users through GeoFoundry One.

If GeoFoundry introduces optional cloud storage, synchronization or collaboration services, information transmitted through those services may be processed as necessary to provide the selected service, and this Privacy Policy will be updated where appropriate.

GeoFoundry processes account and device information necessary to create and authenticate accounts, manage subscriptions, activate licences, enforce registered-device limits, maintain payment history and provide access to purchased services. Device information used for licensing may include identifiers required to distinguish registered installations of GeoFoundry applications.

Payments for GeoFoundry services may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Pesapal. GeoFoundry may receive transaction information necessary to verify a payment and activate or renew a licence. Full payment-card information entered into a payment provider's payment environment is handled by that payment provider according to its own privacy and security practices.

When you choose Trimble GNSS functionality, Field Mapper may communicate with Trimble Mobile Manager (“TMM”) to access supported Trimble GNSS receiver functionality and positioning information. Trimble Mobile Manager is a third-party product operated by Trimble. Your use of TMM is also subject to Trimble's applicable terms and privacy practices.

We use information where necessary to provide and maintain GeoFoundry services, authenticate accounts, manage licences and subscriptions, process and verify purchases, provide technical support, protect our services against misuse or unauthorized access, troubleshoot problems, and comply with applicable legal requirements.

We do not sell users' personal information.

GeoFoundry may use third-party service providers for functions such as authentication, infrastructure, transactional email, payment processing and other services necessary to operate GeoFoundry One. Information is shared with such providers only where reasonably necessary for the relevant service, subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information processed through GeoFoundry services. No electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should also protect their devices, passwords, exported project files and other information under their control.

Account, licence, transaction and support information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, maintain appropriate business and financial records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and comply with applicable legal obligations. Locally stored field data remains subject to the user's control and the storage capabilities of the user's device.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information associated with your GeoFoundry account. Some information may need to be retained where required for legitimate security, transaction, accounting or legal purposes.

You may control application permissions such as location and Bluetooth through your device settings. Disabling required permissions may prevent certain GeoFoundry features from functioning.

GeoFoundry One is professional geospatial and field-data-collection software and is not designed as a service directed specifically toward young children. Where an organization provides access to GeoFoundry One, that organization is responsible for ensuring its use complies with applicable laws and organizational policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy when our products, services, legal obligations or data practices change. The current version will be published on the GeoFoundry One website with its effective or last-updated date.
